Now comes the hard part: navigating competitive recruitment. Most candidates believe success is about having the highest grades. At Arches, it’s about holistic individuals and how you think. To help you, here’s a guide on how our hiring process and what our hiring managers are looking out for.
Cheat Sheet: Arches’ Recruitment Process
You’ve found our job postings and are keen on applying for a role that aligns with your personal goals. The next step is knowing how to maximise the chances of capturing HR’s attention to secure that first interview.

Round 1: The CV
In the recruitment world, a CV is like a dating profile. To get a recruiter to “swipe right”, you must move past generic templates.
- The goal is to see if your background aligns with our core mission
- We look out for relevant internships, projects, leadership roles, volunteer work, awards, etc
- It’s a-okay if you have limited experience – the key is to show what you have done. If you have a lot of experience, don’t dump it all. Include only what relates to the specific role.
If your experience is aligned with what we’re looking for, someone from our team will contact you. If it’s not a right fit, with your permission, we’ll keep your application information in mind for any future opportunities!
Round 2: Connect with the Talent Acquisition Team
Along with the interview invite, the Talent Acquisition team will provide a background of Arches. This interview is a two-way street: we want to hear your story, and you get to peek into our culture.
- The goal is to serve as a preliminary “vibe check.”
- Research the Expert Network Service Industry and our Business Model.
- Understand the responsibilities of the role you’re applying for.
- Pro tip: Ask questions! It proves you’re genuinely interested in the role.
Round 3: Case Study Assessment and Interview with Hiring Manager
It might sound daunting, but once you understand some key points, that’s half the battle won! The case study is like an appetizer of your daily work at Arches. It’s essentially a chance for us to observe how you approach challenges.
- Candidates have 15-20 mins to prepare and search for profiles to answer the case questions (no worries about the time crunch).
- There’s that adrenaline talk quickly, but this can leave panelists behind. Take a deep breath and speak thoughtfully.
- Explain the logic behind your strategy to show your thought process.
- Facts are often not comprehensive. While it’s okay to make certain assumptions, just make sure to share them before building your ideas!
Now that you’ve found your “match”, it’s time to set up the first date (usually a week later)! We know that interviewing is not about finding the right skills, but also the right fit.
You’ll meet your future leader and dive deeper into the role, team goals, and how your experience can contribute. This is a great opportunity to get a sense of your manager’s leadership style.
Round 4: Final interview
You’ve passed the storm! This final conversation is with senior leadership that serves as a tie breaker. The goal of this session is to ensure there’s a long-term match in culture and values. Usually, the interviewers look for vision, ambition, and a growth mindset.
